Position DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Specialist will process accounts payable invoices according to vendor payment terms, and communicate with vendors, purchasing, and other departments regarding invoices and payment issues to ensure that vendor accounts and records are accurate.Primary Responsibilities• Maintain accounts payable records according to set standards and procedures.• Enter invoices daily into the financial information system (Netsuite) against the correct purchase order receipt, ensuring the accuracy of records entered. • Enter invoices and check requests for items without purchase orders, verifying information with the purchase originator as required. • Review invoices for proper coding and ensure proper approvals are obtained.• Work with purchasing and other departments to resolve invoice issues.• Answer vendor inquiries and review/reconcile monthly statements as applicable.• Calculate the cash requirements for and process the weekly check run and wire/ACH payments.• Coordinate with vendors to process credit card vendor payments as needed.• Assist in monthly closings and monthly accruals.• Complete assigned account reconciliations on time monthly.• Act as the administrator of the company Expense Reporting program within Concur, including reconciling expense report information to the General Ledger.• Manage the corporate credit card program under the direction of the Controller.• Set up vendors in the system with proper approvals.• Compile data and issue 1099s on an annual basis.• Assist with the requests from external auditors as required.• Assist with the collection of receivables as requested.• Other duties as needed and assigned.Skills Needed• Associate degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of certification and experience• 2 years of related experience• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications• NetSuite experience a plus• Good verbal and written communication skills• Excellent attention to detail• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment• Contribute to team success
